Sonya Dunn

A visionary leader with over 25 years of expertise in executive media management, content creation, business operations. As the Founder and CEO of JEMH, a transmedia technology and production management company, she leads with innovation and strategic foresight. Under her leadership, JEMH has developed and managed a diverse portfolio of over 70 intellectual properties, including media content, streaming channels, and merchandising products. This work exemplifies her ability to align innovative approaches and cutting-edge technology with compelling storytelling, establishing her as a trailblazer in the media industry.

Previously, Dunn served as the Chief Content Officer for SimulTV, a global streaming platform offering more than 120 linear channels and on demand content (movies, gaming, music). In this role, she spearheaded content development, acquisition, programming, and operations for over 50 channels. She also negotiated and managed channel distribution agreements with domestic and international partners, demonstrating her expertise in global media strategy and operations.

Before her tenure at SimulTV, Dunn was the President of Arlington Community Access Corporation, a nonprofit media organization. There, she successfully managed fiduciary responsibilities for a major market cable network, video and audio production studios, a radio station, and a multimedia training center. Her leadership was instrumental in streamlining operations, fostering community engagement, and driving organizational growth.

Dunn’s influence extends to the global stage. She represented the United States as a U.S. State Department Delegate, collaborating with international counterparts on global entrepreneurship. As a Media Tech Industry Delegate under both the Obama and Trump administrations. She has collaborated with over 10 countries and their embassies to develop programs and forge partnerships centered on the creative, entertainment, and media industries, fostering innovation and economic growth. Her efforts have not only strengthened bilateral relations but also enhanced the cultural and media economies of these countries, contributing to job creation, market expansion, and sustainable industry development. Her expertise lies in navigating complex international landscapes and spearheading strategic initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to global economies.
